Why We Are Introducing Long-Term Living - A New Chapter at Costalegre Living
With more people finding our quiet area on the Costalegre, and the demand and dynamic growth of the retiring population, vacation needs are seeing a change in what people are looking for.
As we have grown, we have also noticed a change in the way many guests wish to experience the Costalegre. Rather than shorter vacations, an increasing number of visitors have expressed a desire to stay longer — to settle into the rhythm of the coast, become part of the local community, and enjoy a more relaxed seasonal lifestyle. In many cases, we simply have not had the flexibility to accommodate extended stays within the traditional boutique hotel model.
For this reason, we are introducing a limited long-term living option on an experimental basis through Costalegre Living. This new approach allows a small number of guests the opportunity to enjoy the property for extended seasonal stays of six months or longer, while helping us create a quieter and more consistent residential atmosphere during the winter months.
Operating a small oceanfront boutique property and restaurant with personalized service has always been a hands-on experience, and we remain deeply committed to maintaining the welcoming environment our guests have come to value. While longer-term stays may reduce the pace and turnover associated with traditional hospitality, they also allow us to focus more intentionally on comfort, continuity, and the overall quality of life experience we hope to offer here on the Costalegre.
This is not a departure from who we are, but rather a natural extension of what many of our guests have already been seeking — a chance to spend more time in a place that feels less like a hotel, and more like a home by the ocean.
